Electrode paste is widely used in ferro alloy (ferro silicon, silicon manganese, ferro chrome, ferro nickel) and self baking electrode of calcium carbide furnace. The function is to input electric energy into electric furnace for smelting operation. Which has the advantages of low cost and convenient use.
Carbon electrode paste is used as self-baking electrodes for submerged arc furnaces,it's a kind of carbon products,consisting of ECA,CPC and graphite powder,with the coal tar pitch as the binder,after the mold shaping.During the application,the paste will be put into the electrode casing from the top side,and the paste will be baked into an electrode finally,as the electrode casing drops down and the temperature comes to the high.The baked electrode will conduct the electricity and transforming the electricity to heat the materials via the electrode peak in furnace.
1. Lower ash content;
2. Accurate dosing and stable volatile content;
3. Good electric and thermal conductivity and the sintering speed apropriate to that of consumption of working end;
4. Smelting at lower temperature with certain fluidity and homogeneous composition;
5. High resistance to high temperature, oxidation and thermal shock, low resistivity and high mechanical strength after sintering.
